Intel sources state that Osama was kill during bombing in Pakistan with the complicity of Pakistani Intelligence. Also various governments have been alerted to possible retaliation against western targets.

What do you all think about trying a Best Buy, Walmart, Target or AT&T location? Seems to me that lines will be longer at Apple stores. Cannot believe online ship time is 2-3 weeks. I should have called that.

...I think DRM will kill the Argo as well.
Bingo.
It always comes down to content and DRM. When you think about it, the PSP could (perhaps should) have been the coolest thing since sliced bread with all its features and even movies and Sony's music service tailor-made for it. So what happened? Sony's atrocious proprietary scheme has made it a shell of what it could have been. I have a feeling MS hasn't learned any lessons since the "Works for Sure" campaign became something of a running joke.
Wasn't the Origami supposed to be an iPod killer?

So wait, not to go off-topic, but let me get this straight: Josh quit Engadget to start another tech blog? FFS, like we don't have enough of those already.
Very strange, agree. I thought he left to actually pursue a totally different job and/or Focusing on Uni.
His apple fanboyism was extravagant, i for one was glad he left.

Uh no. This is a good thing for manufacturers. This means you have to buy another case. The last thing they want is for you to use the old one.
It's not, actually. Every time a change in the phone comes out, the manufacturer has to make new cases to reach those new customers, necessitating new tools/molds/whatever (so more cost on their end). Any manufacturer would prefer that the same case worked for all iPhone4s because then they would only have to spend the manufacturing dollars once to reach every iPhone4 customer. Plus, less confusion when people are buying cases.

I just seen a T-Mobile commercial where they threw an iPhone 4. :(
Sounds a bit different to the sort of ads T-Mobile has in the UK:

Sad thing is the developer is now going to be charged $300 (Apple requires the developer to reimburse the user Apple's commission).

It's not a bug.
You had to manually tick a box which counted Home Sharing play counts on the iTunes overall one.
Even with it ticked it still doesn't update play counts. That's where the bug is.
Tried it on OS X and Windows and still doesn't work. I've heard it works fine from computers and Apple TV but on devices it doesn't even though it's suppose to.
EDIT: Got a post over on the official Apple forums discussing it and it has a lot of replies of people reporting the exact same thing. I haven't even found a single person who has said it works.
By the way if anyone who has updated to 4.3.2 and would like to test it and let me know if it's fixed that'd be awesome. :D

Just FYI.
The "private" beta that's being circulated is a very old beta in the development stage. VMware has big plans, and is working closely with Apple to have a true Mac look and feel.
Things VMware Final version will do:
Be 100% Free
Support Adjusting how many processors you use.
64bit support and optimization
Drag and drop into the VM window (just try dragging a file off your desktop into the VM now)
***And full support to use your bootcamp volume. So you don't have to have two disks anymore or one for Virtual Machine, and another for bootcamp with full video accelerations. You can just run your bootcamp volume right inside of VMware for those times when you don't want to reboot, and just need to do work. That way you only have one copy of windows on your machine! No VM needed!
**Support for "Virtual Appliances" which VMware has a bunch of on their site. Thousands of companies make ready-made Virtual Machines, that you can download and run in VMware, such as a lamp server, special build of RedHat, or a Ubuntu for graphics, or a mail server, or anything you can imagine, there are over 100,000 Virtual Appliances available on the VMware site, and you can create your own "Virtual Appliance" and share it with your friends!
I don't know about the free part though. If its just a player (like the current Beta), I can see that being free. But if they add all those extra features I don't see it being free at all. But then again, Macs aren't targeted towards the Corporations, so they might just make one version with a lot of features and not charge as much as VMware Workstation (for Windows).
Yes, the current version is really buggy.

Hi all, second post in the photog section, so excited to finally start getting into photography, I've wanted a DSLR for ages.
All C&C is so greatly appreciated.
No post edit, I'm waiting for adobe to release the raw updates, which hopefully are coming soon.

Exactly. Apple says they will pay 70% to the music companies. They worked out their deals with them at that rate. If another company wants to sell music, they by no means have to get the same deal as every other company selling music. Its just nuts to think that way.
Yep. And they agreed to let the labels decide the price in exchange for the whole no DRM thing. Plus at the time they didn't apparently think to put that whole "same or better" rule in the mix.
so basically Apple gets what they deserve on this one. But I suspect they will weather the storm. THeir money is in hardware anyway

You have to realize one thing. Without market share, company like Apple can not make profit.
Apple raked in 6 billion dollars in the first quarter of Q1. That's three months. Oh, by 6 billion I meant in gross. I think that's more than Microsoft made... not sure though.
http://www.macrumors.com/2011/01/18/apple-reports-record-1q-2011-6-billion-profit-on-26-74-billion-in-revenue/
Market share =/= profit.

Did you have these Gestures enabled before?
Nope, I've never enabled them before on my iPad as I'm not an official Apple developer and I didn't have access to the beta release that included this feature in the past.
