Email address is required to send me shipping notifications, and iTunes receipts. A Physical address and phone number is required to ship me their hardware I buy and verify which country's App Store I can shop in.

According to the Financial Times, Universal, 20th Century Fox, Paramount and Warner Bros, who are all reported to be in talks with Apple to bring their movie collections to the iTunes store, are pressuring Apple to reduce the number of devices (http://www.ft.com/cms/s/6c6aa286-7f08-11db-b193-0000779e2340.html) movie content from iTunes would be able to play on (namely, iPods).
The studios want to avoid the experience of the music industry, which has yet to recover from years of illegal digital piracy. Apple must introduce a �new model� for feature film content delivery, said one studio executive involved in the talks. With the average cost of a blockbuster film approaching $100m, movie studios had more to lose than music companies, he added. �We�re very willing to do a deal but we�re keen to get some concessions from Apple that will account for the differences between the value of music and television content and feature film content.�
Currently, Apple's usage rights allow downloadable content to be played on an unlimited number of iPods (http://docs.info.apple.com/article.html?artnum=304277) as well as up to 5 computers, although DVD burning is limited to archiving purposes only (DVD-Video burning is not supported).
Disney sold 125,000 movies (http://www.macrumors.com/pages/2006/09/20060919142943.shtml) in its first week of operation on the iTunes store. While still small in comparison to DVD sales, Disney expects digital sales to add $50 million in revenue to its bottom line in the first year on the iTunes Store. As a Buddhist, I believe that the mental state one has when they die provides the direction for their mind in their next life. Therefore, I support life in prison in order to give the convicted killer every opportunity to improve their mind and realize the error of their actions before they die. It's for both their benefit and the benefit of every being they encounter in their next life.

I've argued with Christians on a similar point. Shouldn't they allow the killers to have the rest of their natural lives to accept Jesus as their savior? And by executing them, we're saying to Jesus, "in your face! We decide, not you!"

What if the rumored mapping or phone stuff that might be part of Leopard is only for .Mac users?
.Mac users can call people from their computers or get .Mac Earth or something similar.
Also, iCal needs to go online (add, edit, etc. from the Internet), storage needs to go way up, etc.
Give me something AOL and Google don't.
AOL just announced something that allows you to back up 5GB of data. .Mac gives you 1 GB. AOL is free, .Mac costs $99. I understand there are other features, but AOL has most of them too. It's not worth the $$ until some major improvements happen.

Had a google around and can't find much on this and wondered whether anybody has seen this before or knows why this might be happening...The file server is a 10.6.6 Snow Leopard install with Sharepoints being mapped over both AFP and Samba. As an example of the current networked environment I have the following:
User A - Computer A: Windows 7 (Office Basic 2007 installed)
User B - Computer B: Intel iMac 10.6.6 with Office 2008 installed
User C - Server Administrative Account
A 'Management' AFP/SMB share that has permissions set on the root folder:
ACL:
User A - Allow/Full Control/This Folder,Child Folder, Child Files, All Descendants
User B - Allow/Full Control/This Folder,Child Folder, Child Files, All Descendants
User C - Allow/Full Control/This Folder,Child Folder, Child Files, All Descendants
Everyone - Deny/Read (So the share is hidden to other groups and users)
POSIX:
User C - Allow/Read Write/This Folder
Staff - No Access
Others - No Access
(I'm sure wheel should be here too??? - Couldn't find a way to add it!)
Now the problem is that when User A creates any type of office document and saves it, User B can see the documents in the share but when they click on it, the file vanishes from the share! When checking the permissions on the file itself, it seems that when User A creates or edits a new or existing file that the permissions get overwritten as:
User A - Read Write
Everyone - No Access
The same happens when User B creates an Office document and User A opens or edits it!
I also have Strict Locking enabled for the SMB protocol
Have I set the permissions incorrectly or is this just a generic SMB problem??
Any help would be appreciated!!

So people keep saying that Bootlace is compatible with the iPod Touch 2g but no one says if its MB or MC, or both.
I would just go ahead and try it, but I heard Bootlace can brick your device if something goes wrong.

The point being that nobody knows when, or if, Final Cut is being upgraded, or what the quality of it will be. One can hope it will be awesome. One can hope it will be out next month.
It's hard to plan purchases around what might come from Apple. Secrets may be great for building buzz around an iPhone. It sucks for planning software/hardware upgrade costs in business.

Only issue I want fixed is wifi. Disconnects a lot.
Do you have multiple iOS devices in the house? Or ones that come and go - like a friend visits and connects to your WiFi?
If so, there is an issue with some routers assigning the same IP to different devices and that will kick you off from time to time.
Resetting the router with both devices in the house will solve it. Happened to me when my Daughter visited and I connected her to my router. I kept loosing the WiFi. Then all was good after a router reboot. :)
