one more question Plz. Sorry for bugging.
I lost this Expired EAD card during moving and now i only have its Front copy which i am going to submit with my I-765 form.
will it be any problem submitting only front copy of the Previous EAD because they are requesting for both (Front and Back) of the Previous EAD.

I think you mean once you are assigned a permanent A# ! It is assigned before a visa number is assigned.
A number series starting with 1 (eg. for OPT) are temporary. Those starting with 9 are permanent.
USCIS has a regular A# consolidation unit as well as a column to check for more than one A# on their internal worksheet for I-485.
Bottom-line: give your OPT A# and they will take care of the rest. This is what I did and worked.

Thanks guys for advise and kind words. Unfortunately, I did not apply for AP assuming I will get it stamped as was the case in 2005 when I had no problems.

I don't think this will jeopardize their cash flow. Surely they will charge 3 times more for a 3 year renewal. It will just make life easier for us and them.
And then I will complain about having to spend for a 3 year renewal when I 'expect' to get my GC within a few months.

My father had the same problem. On 30th he had his interview and the VO said he will get his passport back in 5 days. Well he did not get it back till yesterday. Today the status has changed on VFS website saying it has been sent by courier. Just wait a little bit longer and I am sure you will get it too. PRobably because of the holiday season they took more time than usual.

I've done the entire process on my own untill today. I also did not have any lawyers involved in any of the misdemeanors. I do have documentation of all the cases. All cases are closed and I'm just paying the fines and have to put up with the probation. I spoke to a lawyer (first time I met with him) today and he advise me to pay him $600 to accompany me to the interview.
Any take on the lawyer's advice? Or can I take the challenge on my own?
Better to take a lawyer with you. He knows immigration law better than you do. At the most you stand to lose 600 bucks that way.

Our demand should be reasonable.. The law makers knows what kind of people they want. One may have MBA or MA, and they may feel their degree is valuable to America. However it is up to the lawmakers to decide what they want.
One guy was asking whether social science considered as science as it is having science. I am not undermining any degree or any branch. We have to appricate atleast they are excempting STEM from numarical count.

What america need at this moment is innovation, research, new technology, alternate energy to overcome growing energy crisis, environmental care health care, nanotechnology, any advanced research to keep america in leading edge. 1.) I have a masters degree from USA and my employer is willing to file under EB-2. my wife is bachelors. Can i apply in EB-2 for both of us and charge it to her quota since it is current for her country.
2.)Would she need to be physically here in USA for filing i 485.
3.) one of my acquaintance was telling me that the GC we get using cross chargeability is a conditonal one and not like regular GC. Is this true.?
4.)Is cross chargeability always possible or does it depend on the will and mercy of uscis.
5.) Is it true that we might have to go through rigorous and sometimes humiliating interview processes to finally get the GC.

hey guys can someone respond please? just to elaborate on my case. My wife's been here in US for the last 4 months. I had applied h-1b for her as consular processing. The approval came with stamping notification for chennai consulate (as at the time her H-1b was applied this year in March, her state of residence was in chennai consulate region).
However in April this year she moved to Mumbai and then to USA. I've heard that you can go to stamping at the consulate region you've been staying for the past 6 months. Since she was at Mumbai for half of the time and then in USA, does it give us liberty to choose Mumbai consulate for stamping instead? Would there be any issues? We are thinking that at the time of interview, if they ask she can let them know she has moved to Mumbai and has her address there now. Would that be okay?

I am currently looking for a job and I have a US Master's degree. I am stuck in this retrogression and my lawyer applied for EB3, and I have no choice but looking for another job that requires me a M.S. with higher salary so I could apply for EB2
Do you know where I can see which is the minimum wage for applying as EB2?? I remember in my Labor certification there was a place where I used to check minimal wage requirements.
I am rest of the world, and having an EB2 application will let me jump out of the retrogression if EB2 continues to be available
